I conducted the performance testing by using two groups who have different
knowledge about Digital Talking Book technology. Both groups can understand and
remember the controlling buttons within an hour. The simple control layout
around the keypad may be the reason that the both testing groups can easily
remember the control keys.
This project has perform smoothly for testing people in Due to the location of
the server, there is a problem about lacking time for downloading a new media
file from people in the different continent; for example, Europe and Asia. This
project has a hosting server at Brinkster Communications Corporation. The
project’s server is located at Virginia Beach, VA 23456, United States of
America. Consequently, the users which located in the different continent will
be deducted their bandwidth. This problem can be solved by setting other servers
in different continent or purchasing a service from a media distribution company
which has multiple servers in all continents.
Since this project is the first online delivering, there is no a competitor to
make a benchmarking at this time. Therefore, to make the huge loads, I use my
personal computer to simultaneously run four different instances of the
application. Each instance runs the different Digital Talking Book title. The
result is perfect; application can continually read four different books in the
same time without a problem. The next figure is the screen short of
benchmarking.
